A strategic rebranding proposalA multidimensional process
Innovazione Agency is an Italian multidisciplinary creative agency founded in 1990, where strategy and creativity meet to support organizations through processes of growth, transformation and communication.
For this project, the agency commissioned a radical rebranding: not a visual refresh, but a complete rethinking of its identity, language and positioning.
Rebranding is never just about changing a logo.
It is a multidimensional process where strategy, design and communication work together
to redefine how an organization understands itself and how it is perceived by others.
Every meaningful transformation begins with careful observation: internal culture, values
and vision meet external context, market dynamics and future opportunities.
Visual identity is only the visible layer
of a much deeper system.
Brand architecture, language, tone of voice, visual grammar and strategic direction all contribute to building an identity that can evolve while remaining authentic.
This proposal was developed from that perspective.
The challengeWhat symbol could embody
all of this without saying too much?
The agency described itself through a clear statement:
Innovation since 1990.A multidisciplinary agency built where strategy meets creativity.
Its ambition was equally clear: to illuminate direction, reveal potential and accompany clients toward tangible growth.
The values at the core of the project became the foundation for the visual exploration:
Relationship
Empathy
Creativity
Growth
Evolution
ResearchThe simplest letter.
Perhaps the most human one.
The search began with the letter i.
A character so elementary that it almost disappears.
Finding a distinctive identity around it proved unexpectedly complex.
For days I explored symbols capable of connecting humanity, technology, presence, relationship and light.
Then the answer appeared in the landscape rather than on the screen.
A vertical stroke.
A point of light.
Historically, the lowercase i did not always include its dot. It appeared during the Middle Ages as a practical distinction before gradually becoming one of the most recognizable details of our alphabet.
That tiny point became more than punctuation.
It became presence.
Awareness.
Recognition.
Sometimes the strongest symbols are not invented.
They emerge once everything unnecessary has been removed.
Design solution
The proposed identity transforms the "I" into a contemporary monogram with a distinctly human character.
Rather than functioning as an initial, it becomes a symbol of connection.
A bridge between:
human and digital
technology and empathy
identity and evolution
Within the mark, the letter naturally expands into the idea of I / We.
Individual identity opening itself to relationship.
Communication understood not as transmission, but as encounter.
The system remains intentionally minimal, allowing the symbol to adapt across media while carrying a strong conceptual foundation.
Outcome
The proposal was ultimately not selected by the agency.
Their feedback was beautifully simple:
"It doesn't make our hearts vibrate."
Creative work is not a linear process.
Not every proposal becomes the final identity.
But every exploration expands the possibilities.
Every iteration sharpens intuition.
Every project, accepted or not, adds another layer to the practice.

Because meaningful identities are rarely discovered in a straight line.
They emerge through observation, dialogue, experimentation and refinement.
One thing leads to another.
And often, the projects that remain unseen become the ones that shape everything that comes next.
