We Are Light
In a screen-lit world, something essential is slipping away. Digital tools offer speed and precision, but they flatten reality. True creativity isn’t just about efficiency—it’s about presence.
“Colors are the deeds and sufferings of light.”
— Goethe
Light is life, energy, and presence. Paper absorbs it, paint reflects it, sculpture bends it.
In Lisbon, where light, scent, and texture shape everyday life, I experienced this firsthand honored to illustrate for Felipe Fiasca’s haute couture boutique installation at Moda Lisboa.
Analog processes like sketching, carving, and writing engage us fully, allowing us to make choices and embrace the tangible. Analog isn’t nostalgia. It’s choice. It’s connection. It’s revelation.
“When I'm drawing, I'm drawing with the light,
being completely open and creative.”
—Christian Louboutin
