The ContextAccademia Hermes is an educational organisation dedicated to humanistic learning and the exploration of the human experience through health, art, biography and social change.
The challenge was to translate a broad and interconnected educational vision into a digital experience that people could
A New Culture
of the Human Being
understand, navigate and use to explore the right learning path.
My work focused on the structure behind the website: clarifying the offer, organising information, improving usability and creating a more coherent relationship between content, navigation and communication.
The challengeThe previous website presented the organisation’s philosophy and a range of educational paths, but
the information needed a clearer structure to help visitors orient themselves.
The task was not simply to refresh the visual appearance.
From School
to Accademy
It was to rethink how the organisation introduced itself, how its different areas of learning related to one another, and how people could move from an initial understanding of the project to a relevant course or contact.
The ProcessFrom concept to structure
I approached the project by working from the overall communication concept towards the individual
website pages and user journeys.
The process brought together three connected areas:
01 — Information architecture
I reorganised the information hierarchy to make the organisation’s identity, educational areas
and individual learning paths easier to distinguish. The aim was to create a clearer relationship between the overarching vision and the specific information visitors needed.
02 — Usability and user journeys
I worked on the website structure and navigation, considering how visitors might arrive,
orient themselves, compare learning paths and find the next relevant step. The goal was to reduce ambiguity and make important information easier to reach.
03 — Content and communication
I worked on the texts and the organisation of communication, helping align the way
the institution presented its educational offer with the structure of the digital experience.
This included considering how the website and wider communication could support one another.
The FocusFor an organisation with several educational disciplines, clarity depends on more than individual page design. It depends on how the whole system works together.
The project connected institutional storytelling, course information,

navigation and calls to action into a more coherent digital framework:
one designed to help visitors understand both the wider vision of Accademia Hermes and the specific paths available to them.
The FocusThe work resulted in a new website concept and structure, with
a stronger focus on information hierarchy, usability and the relationship between content
and navigation.
Designing for clarity
Rather than treating the website
as an isolated visual object,
the project approached it as part
of the organisation’s wider communication system.

I work: starting with the meaning
and purpose of an organisation, identifying what its audiences need
to understand, and translating that complexity into a clearer and more coherent experience.
